Starting Jan. 10th, 2025, the IRS Free File program will begin accepting individual Federal and Maine tax returns. Taxpayers nationwide can access free software tools offered by trusted IRS Free File partners. When we prepare your taxes we use OLT Professional. You can file your own tax return using the OLT Free File version at https://www.olt.com/main/oltfree/default.php

All 1040 tax returns are assessed a $10 fee for IRS representation services provided by our third party partner Tax Protection Plus, LLC, and are pursuant to their term and conditions.

We partner with EPS to offer taxpayer bank products to our clients. Refund Advance Loans are offered from the start of each tax season until the end of February. Fee from Refund Services are offered from the start of each tax season until the end of the extended tax season, typically October 15th.

Taxpayers who will not file their tax return by the deadline should electronically file an extension, and should include federal and state payments if they will owe on the return. An extension of time to file is not an extension of time to pay! (In 2024 the deadline to request an extension is April 15th.)

The IRS will begin processing 2024 tax returns on 1/27/2025.

As of 1/1/2025 our minimum fee for Federal and Maine tax return preparation (simple) is $9. Our fee more complex personal returns averages between $129 and $199 for a Federal and Maine tax return. Fees are due at the time we file your returns. See our FAQ on fees for additional information.

We are no longer preparing drop-off tax returns, please book an appointment or consider using the MyTaxOffice mobile application (by On-Line Taxes Inc.) Our pass code is AD3456.

As of early February 2022 we are no longer accepting new clients for personal returns.

We will resume regular office hours on Tuesday January 21st. If you are trying to schedule an appointment, please call between 10am and 3pm on weekdays, or send us an email or a text message. We are closed on bank holidays. Our hours are subject to variation due to weather or other conditions without notice so please call before you visit.
